We met in the lobby at church shortly after Metro opened their doors post quarantine. I (Chris) had been watching service online and Steph was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen. With masks blocking most of our face I introduced myself and hoped for the best. She now knew I existed and that was enough for me...for now.
Chris Alessi invited me to lunch and since restaurants where closed we ate at church; Steph and other church staff joined and our eyes and ears liked what was happening. After 2 group lunches at church I asked Stephanie out on a date.
That day, we ate and walked around Coconut Grove learning about each others vision for our lives, our upbringing and our family values. What we both had been waiting for, God was unraveling before our very eyes and we left that date a little bit in awe of what God was doing. God had confirmed in our spirits this was the person He had for us.
July 13th, 2020: A few days later, we went to grab dinner on a Monday and we told each other we knew we wanted to marry each other. Crazy? Yes. Were we wrong? Heck no. :)
July 10th, 2020: Our very very first date. I was pretty confident this guy was special so I had to photograph the memory!
July 17th, 2020: We met each other JUST after our birthdays. So we decided to have our own bday party with box cake and candles. Duncan Hines, of course.
This was our first surf together! This was when we also discovered that he's way more tan than me. And we both share a love for all things Ocean.
Christopher "Danger" Manuel Muina. That's his middle name.
Scooter rides exploring the city have been dangerous yes but we love riding though neighborhoods and looking at houses.
September 22nd: This is when Chris had the patience to teach me to drive stick shift in a car he bought and repaired all by himself. I mean, try NOT falling in love with that!!
I then met Abuela :) I love this memory.
Both our families are big and loud and fun. This trip to visit Chris's family has been a highlight of our dating so far.
We took this photo the week my Papa passed away. Chris didn't leave my side once! That's when I knew he was the real deal. This was also our first insta post :)
We spent Thanksgiving in Georgia and found this cottonfield.
Taking the UTV out with the Fam in Georgia. Grandma Faith had a blast, it was just showing on Rocky's face.
Our first Christmas together (our first Christmas with ANYONE!) and we both nailed the gifts!
Hours before we got engaged! I was nervous he would propose at the park on South Beach and considering the dog poop and homelessness, I was prepared to say "Yes, but ask me somewhere else please". :)
Engaged!!!!! The best moment of our lives!!
Mom was clearly excited!
It was definitely the best night of our lives. We can't believe God actually brought us here! Now, to the altar!
Head kisses are the best :)
Chris showed me how to shoot all of the guns he has. Turns out Steph is a pretty good shot.
