What do I wear?

The bride and groom kindly request that guests dress in jewel-toned cocktail attire for our special day. Jewel Tone Inspiration: Deep Greens: Emerald, Evergreen Vibrant Blues: Sapphire, Cobalt, Teal, Turquoise Rich Purples: Amethyst, Plum, Magenta Warm Tones: Ruby Red, Garnet, Amber, Citrine We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing jeans. What time should I arrive?

Answer

Ceremony – We recommend arriving 20–30 minutes early to allow ample time for parking and seating before the ceremony begins. Reception – Dinner will be served during cocktail hour from 4:00–5:30 PM. Please plan to arrive within this time frame to ensure you’re able to enjoy dinner with us.

Are children invited?

While we absolutely adore your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this allows everyone to relax and fully enjoy the evening with us. Thank you so much for understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate together!

What is the weather backup plan?

Answer

You never quite know what the weather will do in Iowa! In the event of rain or snow, the ceremony will be moved indoors at Murphy’s Court Event Center. No matter the forecast, everything will take place comfortably at the venue so we can celebrate together rain, snow, or shine.

Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift we could ask for. However, if you feel inclined to give, we kindly ask that you consider contributing to our honeymoon fund in lieu of traditional gifts. We are so excited to begin this next chapter together and would be incredibly grateful for your support in helping us create unforgettable memories.

Is there parking available?

Answer

The venue offers ample parking for guests. If you’re staying at the AmericInn, we highly recommend walking, as it is conveniently located right next door. We also kindly encourage our DeWitt friends and family to consider carpooling when possible to help ensure convenient parking for everyone.
