Both local airports, Tampa International is a major airport while St. Pete-Clearwater is a smaller airport with Allegiant as the primary airline.

Places to stay

If you'd like to stay at the beach, there are numerous hotels to choose from along the beaches. Fort DeSoto is the southernmost beach in Pinellas county and you may not want to stay farther north than Clearwater beach to avoid longer commutes to events. Orlando is about an hour from wedding venue but keep in mind that there is often traffic that can easily increase and even double your commute.
