February 24, 2021 was a random but perfect Wednesday. Taylor just happened to have off that day and had just told Nick the day before that she would be home. We decided to take a walk down to Lime Kiln Park in Grafton since it was sunny and mild for being February. We walked to the park and Taylor watched Nick to make sure he wouldn't fall in as he decided he wanted to walk on the frozen river. It was getting cold so we decided to head back. Taylor was walking ahead of Nick and Nick called to her and when she turned around he was down on one knee! Nick had carried the ring in his pocket without the box so Taylor wouldn't see it in his pocket! Taylor started crying and of course said yes! We called all of our family and friends and then Nick had made celebratory dinner reservations for us. What a great day it was!
