It started way back in halls of Chesterton High School. We spent 4 years becoming best friends (secretly CRUSHING on each other!) We both attended the greatest college of all time (BOILER UP!) In 2008, our freshman year of college we decided to bring to light what we always knew to be true and we began dating. This is when the MUD started! I'm sure you've been wondering when this would be explained! Way WAY back in the day, before iPhones, we had to text each other on flip phones like cavemen. For those of you old enough to remember T9 texting, you recall how if you pushed a button too many times in a row it would auto correct. Mud came along when we would attempt to type LOVE, and through T9 texting our phones would end up typing MUD. The "mud" grew on us as an inside joke and has stuck ever since. We dated throughout college and had decided after 5 years of dating and after we had graduated that we needed to experience life outside the mud and went our separate ways. After 7 mudless years we found our way back to each other and couldn't imagine our lives any different. One would think after 7 years we would have to rebuild what we once had. However, the mud never dried up for us and it was as if no time had passed at all. Since our rekindling, we've lived in two places together in the Chicago area with one weenie dog that has weaseled his way into Alex's heart.
