Celebrating the rich diversity of the African Diaspora, the African World Festival (AWF), presented by The Charles Wright Museum, provides the ultimate cultural arts and entertainment experience for the whole family. Storytelling, music, games, crafts, drum and dance circles, some 100 vendors and the Parade of Nations are highlights of this cultural celebration. The Woodward Dream Cruise Inc

The Woodward Dream Cruise is the world’s largest one-day automotive event, drawing 1.5 million people and 40,000 classic cars each year from around the globe — from as far away as New Zealand, Australia, Japan and the former Soviet Union. North American cruisers from California, Georgia, Canada and all points in between caravan to metro Detroit to participate in what has become, for many, an annual rite of summer. The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History is located in the heart of Midtown Detroit's Cultural Center at 315 East Warren Avenue at Brush Street. The museum is located next to the Michigan Science Center and within one block of the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA). Tuesday - Saturday: 9 am - 5 pm Sunday: 1 pm - 5 pm Adults (13 - 61) $8 Adults (62 +) $5 Youth (3 -12) $5 Members and children under 3 are admitted free.
