The tavern was the heart of the town of Middleburg in the 1700s and 1800s, it wasn’t just a place to eat—it was where locals gathered to share news, politics, and stories. It’s hosted famous guests like George Washington and John F. Kennedy It was originally called The Black Horse Inn The inn stood through the Civil War and welcomed both Union and Confederate troops
