We met back in college and hung out in a larger group of friends. Fast forward to late November 2015 and we reconnected at a friend's birthday gathering. After a month of adventures and dates, on NYE 2016, Tim was very smooth and asked Maureen if she wanted to turn her Claddagh ring around to mean that she was "in a relationship". Since then, New Year's Day has been our anniversary and a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our relationship and the upcoming year.

We had a hiking trip planned to the Adirondacks and we stayed with our friends, Meghan and Dan (who were in on it!). That fateful Friday it was a beautiful, sunny fall day. We got an early start and enjoyed our hike to the summit of Giant Mountain. Despite many Adirondacks trips, this was Maureen's first high peak and she spent time basking in it at the top. While she enjoyed the view and thought Tim was preparing lunch, he was getting ready with the ring. Maureen said "YES" and they basked in their happiness with the best view around.
