We are so glad you are coming to Portugal to celebrate our wedding. While in town, we highly suggest you explore both Estoril and Cascais. Estoril is where our wedding will be held, a small resort town known for its coastal landscape and beautiful beaches. Within a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive is the neighboring town of Cascais, known for its historic landmarks and buzzing downtown shops and restaurants. Renting a bike or walking along the coast is a great way to explore both towns in one day!
Estoril is located a 20 minute drive from Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal. To help you explore, we have reserved a 3 hour walking private tour of Lisbon, complimentary to our guests. Please sign up using the link below. We may add additional tours as needed. *RESERVE YOUR SPOT IN-ADVANCE*
Surrounding Estoril are two unique coastlines: the Portuguese Riviera, with calm and friendly beaches and the Serra de Sintra coastline, a protected coastline where there is almost no tourist development, just wild and dramatic beaches. The Portuguese Riviera extends from Cascais to Lisbon–and these will be in walking distance from your accommodations. The best beaches include: Praia do Tamariz, Praia da Conceicao & Praia da Duquesa, Praia da Poca, Praia da Rata, Praia das Moitas. I wish there was a whole banana boating section here, but alas, check out Cascais Marina Water Sports for a range of water-sports related options! We also suggest taking a day trip to Sintra to see the beautiful beaches of the Serra de Sintra coastline which include: Praia das Macas, Praia Grande, Praia da Ursa, Praia da Adraga, and Praia do Guincho. Praia do Guincho is one of the best beaches in Portugal; if you are staying in Sintra, rent a bike for the short flat ride out to the beach!

Feeling lucky? Estoril is home to one of the biggest casinos in Europe! Fun fact: It was inspiration for the first of Ian Fleming’s James Bond books, "Casino Royale.”
