As we have many friends and family members who have never attended an Orthodox Christian wedding, we thought it would be helpful to include a brief description of the service. Here is a link to a short document which outlines the different parts of the ceremony and their symbolic meaning: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QNRYstqldAbZXCgpcGqwA2MtgtZeRORp/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=106934826331705697954&rtpof=true&sd=true This summary will also be available in print during the wedding ceremony.
Anything semi-formal or formal.
As parking in Allston poses a bit of a challenge (see parking FAQs below), we recommend that you arrive 45 minutes before the start of the ceremony in order to find a parking spot and make your way over to the church without having to rush.
We have reserved one parking lot about a 5 minute walk away from the church at 24 Denby Road, Allston, MA 02134. If you plan on using it, please print out and put the following sign on your dashboard: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jp3BQrGy0_G8PvtpuQSIsz_QSwucW5mZwBj48g1_sG4/edit?usp=sharing Unfortunately the parking lot is not large enough to accommodate all of our guests. There will also be free street parking available (meters are turned off on Sundays) in the area around the church. Please avoid parking in Brighton resident parking spots (you will receive a ticket if you park there).
Our venue has both a parking lot and street parking right next to it.
Please feel free to email the bride at mashakruk13@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns that are not listed in the FAQs!
