About 4 years ago, we both swiped right on a little dating app called Tinder... We still can't believe that's how we met, but it's now obvious to us that God works in miraculous ways that we barely can explain. Our first date was at our now favorite soba place, Inaba. Brandon had no idea what he ordered and we ended up switching meals. Little did we know we would be sharing hundreds more to come...

We were on vacation on the Big Island of Hawai'i and that day included a morning hike of Waipio Valley. This hike includes going up and down one of the steepest roads in the world, leading to the valley floor, which includes a beautiful black sand beach, lush green surroundings, and wild horses. With the entire beach to ourselves, Brandon got down on one knee and proposed! We celebrated with champagne and Kawamoto's okazuya... Did Lauren see it coming? Totally!! Who wants to bring champagne on a hike?! But it was beautiful....and a completely Brandon thing to do
