It all began on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 4PM when Tom walked through the door at The Potting Shed in Stroudsburg while Danielle was paying for the silk flower arrangement she had made. As soon as their eyes met, there was an instantaneous attraction. However, neither one of them knew if they would ever come in contact with each again. On August 28, 2018, Tom and Danielle's paths crossed again while Danielle was delivering food for her daughter's first field hockey scrimmage at Moravian University. This time, Tom and Danielle took the opportunity to reminisce about their brief encounter at The Potting Shed. Tom even remembered the details of what Danielle was wearing that day. Hearts began to flutter as they both were thrilled to see each other once again. They were in total amazement that their daughters, Emily and Nicole, were teammates on the same field hockey team and they would be seeing each other throughout the field hockey season. Tom, took full advantage of the parent roster list to "nonchalantly" contact Danielle to strike up further conversations and shared pictures of the silk arrangement that he had made for his front porch at The Potting Shed. As much as Danielle was interested in Tom, she was slow to respond to Tom's text messaging due to her "slow as a turtle" nature. Tom was very persistent with frequent text messages, but always did so in a very gentlemanly and respectful manner. Eventually, his persistence paid off by melting Danielle's heart. Weeks later, over back and forth text messaging, Tom and Danielle shared their mutual love for Mt. Tammany, NJ. Danielle shared that she has always wanted to hike Mt. Tammany and expressed to Tom that she "would like to hike it with him". Tom immediately said "yes" and his feet never hit the ground that evening. On October 18, 2018, Tom and Danielle hiked and had lunch on top of Mt. Tammany and enjoyed getting to know one another. Each year at this time, they hike, what they now call "their mountain", to celebrate the anniversary of their "first date". The most spectacular hike of all occurred on the morning of August 13, 2022, when Tom took Danielle up Mt. Tammany as his girlfriend and came down the other side of the mountain with Danielle as his fiancee. Their journey in life has just begun and their memories continue to "mount"!
