On New Year’s Eve 2014, a mutual friend insisted a group of us go out to The Pearl River Saloon to bring in the new year. One of us was excited about it. The other had absolutely no interest in leaving the house. Thankfully, peer pressure still works. Technically, we would have met years earlier in high school - if someone hadn’t gone to private school. What was supposed to be just another night out turned into the start of something neither of us saw coming. We met for the first time and somehow that reluctant decision to show up became the best one ever made.

On St. Patrick’s Day 2025, Matt planned the perfect proposal while on our snowboarding trip to Verbier, Switzerland. Unfortunately, at 2,000 meters above sea level the cloud coverage had other plans. After a two day wait for the skies to cooperate, he finally asked the question we were all waiting for. Proof that sometimes love (and good pictures) are worth the wait.
