In the year 2012 I, Mikaylla, a young lady spent the day visiting a friend. During my visit a young handsome gentleman, Chase, shows up to pick up his friend, who happened to be my friend’s brother. As I laid my eyes upon Chase I felt myself blushing. I was a very awkward teenager and so as I got ready to leave, the only thing that popped into mind was to hug this male. As I hugged him tight and he hugged me back awkwardly, I smiled deeply and then walked away. However, I couldn’t keep him off my mind. I did search him up on Facebook and stalked his account many times. I was to embarrassed to actually add him.

After switching school districts for one last time at the start of my 9th grade second semester; I, Mikaylla, had only one friend. As I sat with this friend during lunch for the first week of school, I realized that we had grown apart and had no common interests anymore. This friend made me feel unwanted at the table so that Friday I moved seats. I sat down next two a familiar face, and started talking to a very old friend. Not realizing that Chase himself sat at the same table. Once I finished catching up with my friend I noticed that Chase was sitting directly across from me. Laying my eyes upon him again caused me to blush deeply and remember the hug. During that hug, I felt very safe and calm. For the first week we barely talked, but on Friday January 18th, after my friend had finished eating early and leaving us alone, Chase and I had a deep conversation. After lunch, I put a brave face on and gave him my number. In which he smiled and gave me his. After school Chase and I talked via text messages while I was on my way to an appointment. During said appointment I was happy and my therapist noticed. We talked about the reason for my happiness, Chase. After my appointment, on my way home, I received a message from Chase. He had asked me out, and of course I said yes.

The last eight years and counting have been and will be a roller coaster of ups and downs, but everyday is full of love. We dated cautiously at first, but soon we fell into the puppy love stage. Nothing would keep us apart. Forward to December 25th of 2015, after opening presents, Chase opened a gift that included a ring. With that ring I, Mikaylla, proposed to Chase. Luckily, he said yes.

On June 25th, Chase and I got married via the courthouse. Now, two days after our second anniversary we wish to celebrate with you.
