We've known each other since high school, even though I was younger than him. He was the hot senior (super freaking duper hot senior, actually. This is definitely not Austin editing) when I came in. After high school, we would run into each other here and there, but it wasn't until the fateful night at Brother's Bar and Grill in downtown Indianapolis when things really took off for our relationship. We hadn't seen each other in years and I don't think we even followed each other on social media. However, we sat at a table, caught up with each other, and talked until they turned the lights on. After that it was a wrap. We tried to convince ourselves it wasn't anything serious, but it didn't take long for both of us to realize that we really had something special. Two years later, Kade was born. Our most precious gift. Through being new parents, we fell even more in love with each other. It may sound corny, but it's true. There's something truly special about watching the person you love absolutely knock it out of the park when it comes to being a parent. We have been clueless kids together, clueless adults together, clueless first-time home-owners together, and clueless first-time parents together. Now we're clueless...not so young...home-owning parents on the way to being clueless, first-time newlyweds. Two pups, a mortgage, and an entire human that shares our DNA.... but we tried to say this was "nothing serious".
