FAQs

Question

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Please have your RSVP in by September 1st at the latest. You can RSVP online using the QR code on the invitation or under the "RSVP" tab on the website.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Arrival will begin half an hour before the ceremony, at 3:00pm. Please be seated by 3:20 at the latest. Free parking will be available on-site, including handicap parking.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The event will be cocktail attire (long dresses, slacks, sports coats, etc.). In North Carolina fall, you never know what the temperature will be, so plan accordingly and bring a sweater/jacket. The ceremony will be on grass, so keep that in mind when picking shoes.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We absolutely adore all of your children and it was not an easy decision, but in order to allow guests, including parents, a day of relaxation, and to keep children safe, we have chosen for our event to be an adults-only occasion. Thank you for understanding and respecting the wishes of the bride and groom on their special day. We hope you are still able to join us.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

In an effort to keep the ceremony intimate, those invited will be specified on the invitations.

Question

Unplugged Ceremony

Answer

The greatest gift you can give us today is to be truly present, so please turn off all phones and cameras and enjoy this special moment with us. Afterwards, go for it!

Question

What if it rains?

Answer

As unpredictable as the weather is in October in North Carolina, you need to have backup plans! If it rains, the ceremony will simply be moved indoors, no travel necessary.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are hotel recommendations under the “travel” tab of the website. As many of our guests are local, whether or not we will be getting a hotel block depends on how many out of town guests require a room. (Side note from Grace: the Lincolnton Hilton has really good breakfast!)

Question

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

There is a designated smoking section outside, but there is NO vaping indoors. Seriously, we will get kicked out and fined. Please don’t.

Question

Where are you registered for wedding gifts?

Answer

If you navigate to the “Registry” page of the website, you will find our compilation registry, which includes Zola, Etsy, Amazon, and random items Grace found that she liked. That being said, instead of “things”, we also have a cash fund established for our future home together. If you feel driven to make a monetary gift to help us further our adventures together, this can also be found on the “Registry” page.
