If you are looking for a quiet city neighborhood, we recommend searching for an Airbnb in southeast Atlanta: Cabbagetown, Reynoldstown, Grant Park, Inman Park, and Edgewood which are mostly residential with restaurants and bars that close early. East Atlanta Village, Little Five Points, Inman Park, Poncey-Highland, and Midtown have more to do, including walkable bars and nightlife. Downtown Decatur has a quaint neighborhood field and is very walkable to cute restaurants and bars, The Decatur neighborhoods that are close by the brewery are between Oakhurst and Avondale Estates; here the restaurants and bars are not walkable.
In Atlanta you can literally catch 3 different seasons in one day, early November high temps range from 68°F to 59°F, rarely falling below 47°F or exceeding 77°F. Daily low temperatures typically range from 48°F to 41°F, rarely falling below 29°F or exceeding 59°F. The reception will be mostly out on a patio, so check the weather often the week before.
In case you haven’t heard, Atlanta drivers are built different. Don’t’ stress with in-town driving and use a rideshare. MARTA is an affordable option from the airport, but does not cover as much of the city by train as one would like.
The saying is true: Atlanta is 45 minutes from Atlanta. So we recommend lodging on the southeast side of town, if you want to stay in the city and have a shorter ride to Decatur. An Airbnb in the southeast Atlanta neighborhoods or hotels around the intersection of Ponce and Piedmont are recommended.
We love your kids, but want this to be your night off for some grown folks time.
