It was 2012 when Taylor and Cody's love story first began… just 2 single twenty-year-olds who happened to swipe right on Tinder. JUST KIDDING totally did not meet on Tinder. Their story actually began sophomore year at Castleton University when they were partnered up for a group project in a Marketing class. They soon found out that one of Taylor's childhood friends was Cody's roommate! It wasn’t long before they became best friends and did everything together. Whether it was going to Zen Gardens between classes, fishing on Lake Bomoseen, or just hanging out at Cody's apartment. They were always there for each other and had the best time together! Fast forward 3 years, they were both graduating college and decided it couldn’t be the end for them! Cody was drawn to Taylor’s smile, while Taylor couldn’t resist Cody's eyes and manly personality. Graduation night was when they officially became a couple because neither of them wanted to say goodbye! That summer, they moved to Richmond, VT, with their dog Xena, where they shared a VERY small one-bedroom apartment and got to know each other even better! The following year, desiring more room, they moved to a larger apartment, and then on August 11th, 2018, Cody surprised Taylor with the most romantic proposal. They spent the day on his parent's boat out on Lake Champlain fishing and touring the island that Cody grew up on and then went out to dinner at the restaurant that he worked at for several years. After dinner, Cody proposed at sunset! The most beautiful sunset imaginable! Cody had arranged a dinner with both sets of parents at his family’s home, surprising her yet again! And when they arrived to drop off the boat, they all celebrated with a bottle of champagne and a few joyous tears! It was a day to remember! Fast forward to the summer of 2019 and they found the perfect house in Ferrisburgh, VT. Now, after nearly 8 years, they can’t wait to tie the knot and start their happily ever after!
