FAQs

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes—we’d love to have your children join us for both the ceremony and the reception. The dance hall is family-friendly, with plenty of outdoor space nearby for kids to move around and play.

Question

Is the ceremony phone-free?

Answer

Yes. We kindly ask that cell phones be turned off and that no photos be taken during the ceremony. A professional photographer will be capturing the day, and we’d love for the moment—and the photographs—to feel timeless and free from screens between us.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception at the same venue?

Answer

No, they are not. The wedding ceremony will begin at 2:00pm at Central Christian Church. The reception will follow at Albert Dance Hall, approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes away. Cocktail hour begins at 4:30pm, with dinner served at 5:30pm.

Question

Is there parking at each venue?

Answer

Central Christian Church: Metered street parking is available on the surrounding city blocks. Please plan to arrive a bit early to allow time for parking and seating before the ceremony begins. Albert Dance Hall: The dance hall has a large on-site parking area with ample space for all guests.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Wedding Ceremony: "Your Sunday Best" is the name of the game. Suits, boots, and dresses encouraged. Dress thoughtfully as you’re able. Cowboy boots welcome (it is Texas, after all). Reception: a Texas two-steppin’ night at a classic dance hall. Come as you are from the ceremony, or feel free to change into something more comfortable. Cowboy hats, denim, and Chisos boots are right at home.

Question

Indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be held indoors in an air-conditioned church. The reception will take place inside the dance hall, with doors and windows open to the breeze. The dance hall is not air-conditioned, but March weather is typically comfortable, and heaters are available if needed.

Question

Is there a seating chart?

Answer

No—there won’t be a seating chart. Dinner will be served family-style, and you’re welcome to sit wherever you feel most comfortable. We encourage conversation and the chance to sit next to someone new. There are many wonderful people in our lives, and we’d love for you to meet and enjoy one another’s company.

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

We do not have a registry. This celebration is our way of saying thank you for the ways you’ve poured into our lives. We're honored that you'd use your time and resources to spend the weekend with us. Your presence is more than enough.
