Our story began in October 2021 on the dating app Hinge. After a few weeks on the app, Amber was starting to believe dating apps were not for her and was about to delete Hinge. She decided to give it one more try and fortunately, she quickly matched with Phi. Our profiles were very similar and both placed value on health/fitness, family, and wanting to start a family. At the time, Phi was a single dog daddy to his yellow lab, Ronin. Amber always likes to joke (but it is partially true) that Ronin played a key role in Phi securing the first date. There was a picture of Phi and Ronin together on Phi’s profile. Amber’s first thought was, “if this works out, I get to become an instant dog mommy to this sweet little puppy. “ Our favorite season is Fall and anything revolving around pumpkin, so it was fitting that our first date was on Halloween at a local brewery with a pumpkin beer. The conversation and chemistry on our first date was so strong and natural. We both fell hard for each other pretty quickly into the relationship. Flash forward to December 2022, where Phi proposed to Amber outside that same brewery after having the same pumpkin beer we had on our first date with family watching and filming the entire proposal. Together, we are beyond excited to celebrate our journey with our friends and family.
