As young teenagers we met and befriended each other. Little did we know that we had eyes for each other. A friendship was formed remained that way until life took us separate ways. Fast forward ten years later, Caitlin had a thought one day of "I wonder what he's doing now" which led to a text, eventually a first date, and the official will you be mine on 6.9.17. The years have flown by since then with adventures, building our careers, bringing our beautiful daughter into the world, our cross country move and the last piece of the puzzle - finally becoming Mr. & Mrs. McKinnon.

Our fifth anniversary was coming up and were excited to spend the day together as a day-date away from our sweet Lylah. We dropped Lylah off for an "auntie day," and went on our adventure! We watched Top Gun: Maverick in theaters, went to get Reindeer dogs at our favorite spot and spent the best day together. As we pulled into our driveway, I noticed that Mary & Claire weren't supposed to be home yet and as I opened the door the surprise hit. Our entry way was decorated while we were gone, Lylah was standing next to the sign "It has ALWAYS been you, will you marry me?" and Zach down on one knee. He was right, we have always meant to be since the first time we laid eyes on each other over 15 years ago. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Huron!
