A Little Piece of Heaven

Steve and Kristin met at their former job at P.F. Changs in Towson, MD. Kristin was asked to train with Steve on her third day, and that meeting was less than "love at first sight". Steve was very busy serving a few tables, which was exciting for Kristin because of her experience in high-volume restaurants. She eagerly asked what she could do to help, to which Steve replied, "You can hold my menus for me..." At this point, Kristin was not a fan of Steve and thought he came across as a bit rude. It was just two days later when their manager, Dave, asked Kristin, "Would you rather train with Brad or Steve tonight?". Kristin very quickly replied, "Brad!". Dave left the room for a moment and then came back and said, "Sorry, I'm actually going to put you with Steve tonight". This exact moment ended up being the start of it all. After a very slow shift, Steve mentioned that he was having a party at his apartment and asked Kristin if she would like to join. Steve had been much nicer during that shift, so Kristin agreed and they left work together. Once Steve and Kristin started talking, they realized they had every interest in common. Phantom of the Opera, Loyola University, Horror Movies, Le Petit Prince, and of course, a mutual love of Halloween! Kristin was mostly moved in a week later, and they've spent almost every day together since, building the perfect life with their two little loves, Snowshoe and Edgar. There's no denying that it's "simply meant to be".

Kristin and Steve had discussed wedding plans long before an engagement, always looking to mix the perfect blend of Spooky and Elegant. And yet, despite these talks and plans, it was the evening of their 2019 Halloween party that Kristin was caught completely off-guard. Kristin thought she was heading outside to start taking a video walkthrough of their haunted house to send to anyone who could not attend the party. Steve said he was going to put his mask on and he would let her know when to start recording inside. When Kristin received the go-ahead to come inside, she walked in to find Steve on one knee, with the most beautiful ring, where he asked, "Darling, will you make every day with me Halloween?". Kristin screamed a long list of surprised profanities before screaming, "YES!"
