On August 8th, 2020 we got married! We had close friends officiate and take photos, and it couldn’t have been a better day. S’s flowers made a trip across the pond from Poland, a family-friend constructed the gorgeous altar, and cake tasting consisted of eating way too many cupcakes at S’s Grandma’s house. The Held’s spent countless hours prepping Winslow Lane, S’s mom practiced reciting a reading and S & J decorated the reception table themselves with borrowed decor. Everything was beautiful and the Held and Dygard families were anxiously awaiting the big day! Well, S was 30 minutes late because Asher and Mia wanted to take “the scenic route,” then, J forgot our hand tying ceremonial rope and it rained during our ceremony (good luck, right?!). We all enjoyed our first meal at a restaurant in nearly 6 months due to world events. Perhaps it didn’t go down like we had originally planned, but it was all perfect, just perfect. Reflecting on this day, we decided it doesn't need to be "redone." We felt so much love on this day, from our loved ones close and far.
