Jake and Sarah met when they were 13/14 years old. Labor Day at the lake would become a wonderful memory and the place where their love story began. A wonderful year of puppy love including their first kiss, school dances, family trips, and football games followed. Life became busy and they parted ways. A few years later at 16 years old, a summer fling began from a white water rafting weekend in West Virginia. They enjoyed each other’s company and Jake often said that he could trust Sarah to speak her mind and help him make difficult decisions. He graduated high school and moved onto college while Sarah finished high school a year later. They each had other relationships, however, they often reflected on their time together. Jake went through basic training and joined the military. Sarah completed the first of two degrees in Louisville. Life continued and they went forward separately for a while. Many conversations were had between Sarah and her closest friends about how it always seemed to come back to Jake when she pictured her future. In the summer of 2016 Jake and Sarah began hanging out again. What first began with a small apology text turned into feelings that could not be ignored. Jake asked Sarah to attend the military ball with him, she accepted. He visited her frequently in Louisville while she pursued her doctorate degree. What had been puppy love, had turned into something much deeper. They experienced many things throughout their time dating: motorcycle rides and weekends traveling, long distance difficulties which were overcome, holidays spent together, meeting new friends and family members, and getting to know each other even better than they already did. For Sarah it had always been Jake when she had pictured getting married, Jake also shared this vision and on Thanksgiving Day 2018, Jake proposed. He took Sarah to the same place where he had asked her to be his girlfriend 11 years ago. She said yes, and now the fun begins.
