It was love at first swipe, we found each other on the world wide web of online dating. Both of us looking to find our forever person! We decided to go on our first date November 1, 2016 to Texas Roadhouse in Albuquerque, NM. Carlos was so nervous that he was running late to pick up Jessica. After washing up his truck (Negra) and getting all cleaned up...he finally made it. Jessica was sure that he was just going to stand her up because there were slim pickins online and figured he was too good to be true. However, to her surprise...her date showed up (a little late), looking all cool with his shinny Nissan truck. Carlos definitely caught Jessica's attention...but in a good way. Jessica had actually never gone to Texas Roadhouse before and was unaware that peanuts filled the floors, counter tops and pretty much every corner you turned. Those of you who know Jessica, know that she has a very severe peanut allergy. So this dinner was definitely a uncomfortable for her to enjoy but still managed to get through the meal. After dinner, we walked out to our cars hand in hand. Carlos walks me to my car, hugs me good-bye and leans in for our first kiss. Sigh...it was love at first swipe. We were inseparable from that moment forward. After that first date, we both knew we could never be apart. We found true love and didn't want to ever let that go- no matter what! Our wedding will not only be the celebration of our marriage but the union of both our families as one for a lifetime of happiness.
After several restless nights, I had decided that I could not wait any longer, and would propose to Jessica on her birthday. Later reaching out to her best friend Antoinette, to help make this moment as special as possible. Antoinette helped me with picking out Jessica's engagement ring, and brought her favorite cake from Whole Foods. We invited our close friends over for dinner, and cake with ice cream. Jessica had no idea, and was totally surprised when I popped the question after singing Happy Birthday! This was one of the most memorable moments of my life, and could not have asked for a better woman. I am looking forward to spending the rest of my life with you Jessica, and cannot wait until it is official and I can call you my wife!
We want nothing more in this life then for our three beautiful girls to know how incredibly loved they are. We wouldn't be the people we are today without them in our lives. They are part of what makes our family so special and cannot wait to share this special moment with them.
