We Are Married!

We wanted to share with our loved ones that we eloped this spring at Glenwood Springs, Colorado! Our story started off as a quiet friendship and grew into a deep, everlasting love. We wanted to cherish what we found in each other and honor this next chapter of our lives the best way we knew how: quiet, relaxed, and most importantly, with quality time together as forever best friends. Kaylee and Ethan first met working at a gym in Bozeman, MT. Kaylee will always remember the first day Ethan came in for an interview. Kaylee, at the time, worked in the business office, across the hall from the conference room where interviews were hosted. Her friends Malori and Sarah were interviewing Ethan that day. And after a slew of terrible candidates, in walks Ethan, with a suit jacket and tie. (Everyone came in dressed in gym clothes to work at this high end athletic club...so everyone was immediately impressed.) After the interview, Sarah and Malori came in to tell Kaylee how great he was. Almost too good to be true, they all thought, as he wanted to be an engineer - perhaps designing workout equipment - as he also had a love for fitness. For the next couple years working at the same gym, Kaylee and Ethan were just friends. Usually just chatting and bonding about stuff they had in common in the slivers of moments at work where there was time to do so. Kaylee will never forget Ethan asking to sit with her to eat his lunch though. Kaylee just always admired Ethan, the way he carried himself and was so nice to others. She always though in her head 'i just want someone like that someday'. Different jobs for Kaylee, a quick trip to Chicago for Ethan and school.. means they didn't stay in touch much. Fast forward a couple years and Kaylee needed help with screen printing shirts, so she texted the only person she knew had experience with that - Ethan. Ethan called her back (yes called, he does not text!!). And from there they went to lunch and started hanging out as friends again. Both single with no intention of dating anyone, they enjoyed each others company, usually with the company of other friends like Hannah, Andy and Malori. Until one day, they finallllyyy started to realize they were made for each other. One first kiss and Kaylee, stunned by the way, knew he was the one. From that moment on, they became inseparable. Ethan graduated college soon afterwards, and both of them knew they would most likely need to leave Bozeman to find him a career and opportunity that was actually exciting. So in 2020, right when the world shutdown, Ethan moved to Colorado to start his job in aerospace, with Kaylee staying in Montana until things opened up again and she could also find a job. A few months later Kaylee was able to find a job and move down to Colorado to be with Ethan. At the end of 2021, they got their soul-dog, Otie, who they are completely obsessed with. For them, they always felt married from day one. The commitment and love for each other was never a question. So years later, they finally decided they would sign a paper to make it official. A big wedding didn't feel like them, so they decided to elope in the mountains of Colorado, with their dog Otie to bear witness. They are excited for this next chapter in life. But no matter where life takes them, they are happy as long as they are with each other. (and Otie!).
