If you ask Corey, he will ALWAYS tell you that from the first time he saw Christina he knew she was the one. His story goes like this: "I remember it like it was yesterday - walking in to Mr. Harvey's homeroom in 6th grade. You were just sitting there looking beautiful as ever." However, the real story began at Doc's Rollerskating Rink in Middletown when we were only 13 years old. Corey was playing a game of pin ball when Christina had Gwen go up to Corey and ask him to skate with her. The first slow song that we skated to (because the 'slow skates' were the coolest thing back then) is now our wedding song 17 years later. We dated throughout Middle and Highschool for roughly 4-5 years and always stayed in touch after school.
We had just got back from an amazing week-long trip to Tennessee to celebrate his birthday, we were unpacking and trying to figure out what to make for dinner since there was nothing in the house. It was the first time we had Nala at the house with Jengo - so our family was all together and we truly felt complete. I was looking in the freezer for dinner options when Corey said he had a question for me. At that moment he got down on one knee and nervously asked me to marry him! And of course I said yes!! It was incredibly sweet, intimate, and a moment that I will never forget.
