PASSPORT: A Passport is required to travel to Mexico! https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply.html Also, be sure to let your bank know that you will be in Mexico for the week so that they don’t put a hold on charge card/debit card charges while you’re in Mexico! FLIGHTS: Fly into Cancun Airport. Indiana guests can check on direct flights from Chicago (ORD) to Cancun (CUN) {Oct. 17th- 24th}. It will be best to travel in a group, if possible, for ground transportation purposes. Trip Insurance is always a good idea! We rec- ommend SquareMouth Travel Insurance. It’s very affordable and a small price to pay for peace of mind when travelling to Mexico! https://www.squaremouth.com/ Things to know about booking flights: • When booking your flight, do not book a flight that lands at the Cancun Airport after 8:15pm (the last ferry to the island is at 11:00pm) and you may miss it! • On your return flight, do not book a flight that departs the Cancun airport before 10:00am. (The first ferry from the island in the morning is 6:00am, with a 6:20am pick up, you will arrive at the airport by approximately 7:30am). For transportation needs on the island, a taxi is your best option.
