It remains unclear how Nick began following Amanda on Instagram, but Amanda followed back and found him to be pretty cute and pretty funny. So in June 2014, Amanda slid into Nick’s DMs with a blurry picture of her ceiling fan (for some reason?) and a (creepy?), “Hey stranger, want to hang out sometime?” He said, “Sure,” and shorty after, Amanda threw Stranger Danger to the wind and jumped into his car. They had a lot of fun that night. And a lot of other nights after that. At Nick’s birthday party that August, Amanda told him how much she loved his sister, Kristin. Nick, in typical sassy fashion, said, “Oh, you can say it about her but not about me?” And that was the first time they shared their love for each other. They moved in together in March 2015 and adopted their sweet (and also sassy) cat Ham shortly after. And you know that whole thing about how you have to love yourself before you can really start to grow? Well basically, Nick and Amanda loved each other hard enough to inspire the self-love they needed to get their shit (somewhat) together. When Nick proposed, it was a no-brainer for Amanda. She can’t wait to spend the rest of her life laughing until she cries with her handsome and talented husband. (Not to mention the huge bonus of officially getting to call his sweet family of cuties her own!)
