During the summer of 2017, Taylor had just transferred to High Point University, where Connor had been recruited from the UK to play football. Taylor was throwing a party, and luckily Connor was looking for one. Some would say a perfect match from the start ;) We were young and reckless, without a care in the world, wanting to enjoy whatever university life had to offer. And then, as it happens, our paths strayed, our priorities shifted and friends became strangers. But in 2024, Connor found himself in the States and without hesitation, or gas in her tank, Taylor drove to Charlotte on a whim to meet for a drink. We were so happy to see how far we both had come since our school days. Proud of the challenges we had overcome and the perspectives we shared on what is truly important in this life. After talking for hours in the car, we caught up on things we had missed from each other's lives, flirting with the idea of another bottle of wine (pinot grigio of course). You couldn't wipe the smiles off either of our faces, and after seeing each other in a new light, it became clear, that this was the start of something special. There comes a time in life where you truly recognize something good when you feel it. We knew that coming together again was one of those good things. Our feelings mutual, our maturity met, we decided to make a commitment to each other well before any official stance. As most of you know, we have spent much of our time continents apart as we awaited the approval of our visa, to begin this new chapter of our lives. Through the time and miles, we have come to appreciate what we have built not only individually but as a family, and we are confident that the strength of our bond is everlasting. Invisible string theory is described as "an intangible, unbreakable bond, or a "thread" that connects two people who are destined to be together". For us, it is without a doubt, something we believe holds true. Together we cherish a love we both deserve, unconditional and true, something we're incredibly grateful to have discovered.
