Yes, there is a global pandemic going on. Yes, we are nervous about what the future will look like for our country. Yes, we could have waited. But we didn't want to. March 29, 2020 was going to be our day if it was the last thing we did. So we gathered in my parents' backyard with our closest family and friends. We said our vows to each other. We made a covenant before God. We got married! Watch the video: https://youtu.be/F6ZaV0VVgFI
“You have a Match!” were the words I scrolled passed as I deleted my junk mail in boredom. I had joined an online dating website in November with little hope of finding anything serious. After a few weeks of bogus inquiries, I had given up the little hope I had and deleted the app. On accident, I stumbled upon an email from the website. For whatever reason I decided to open it. Only one message from “Adrian, 30” and a kind face on the profile picture. One more try. What did I have to lose? After a few weeks of messaging each other, we finally went on our first date. We were both so nervous! On the second date we opened up about family and faith. I thought, maybe there’s something here? Third date was the winner. I promised him a hug, he surprised me with a kiss! And what a kiss it was... we saw each other every week since. On February 3rd, 2018 Adrian asked me to be his girlfriend on paper napkin over breakfast. Almost two years later, he asked me to be his wife. And here we are - engaged!
I joined an online dating site in hopes of maybe finding that special someone. After a few weeks without paying much attention to it, I finally decided to see what it was all about. I came across this profile with the most beautiful girl I had ever laid my eyes on. I decided to take a chance and send her a message with hopes she would reply back. The next day came and I had gotten a reply. We started messaging through the app for a few weeks until she decided to give me her phone number so we could text instead, making it so much easier. After a few weeks of texting I asked her to our first date and she accepted! It was a little awkward because I was a nervous wreck. We kept texting and talking after that date and we eventually went on a second date. After the third date I knew she was the one God had placed in my path. And the rest is history. After almost two years of dating, I finally got the courage to ask her to be my wife. She replied with the biggest “Yes” ever.
