They met at a mutual friend's Christmas party and became Facebook friends.
Tim introduced Trisha to dirt-track racing and she experienced her first race season at Shelby County Speedway. Surprisingly, she became a huge fan of muddy sneakers, loud engines, walking tacos with "shredded cheese, nacho cheese", and cheering on 26M.
Tim turned the big 4-0 on the 26th! Trisha organized and pulled off a surprise birthday party surrounded by his family and closest friends. But not before Tim was about to throat punch her because she kept arguing with him over everything he wanted to do that day. He did forgive her later.
Big Step! Tim and Trisha officially moved in together.
Maybe worse than a kid--Trisha adopted a dog (those damn impulse control issues). He's kind of dumb and a lot smelly, but he's ours and he's become family. She named him Bandit to go along with Smokie (her cat). They now had Smokie and Bandit. PS: Tim was not amused.
First Family Vacation! They piled into the white Ford F-250 and made their way to Branson, Missouri. The kids had a blast spending all the adult's money on ziplines, mini golf, go-karts, and the Titanic Museum. The adults enjoyed a golf kart tour with extinct cave bears and about a million arrowheads in glass cases. They all enjoyed coming home and having more than two feet of space between them all.
Back to Branson to celebrate the Fourth of July! However, Trisha wasn't expecting that they would be celebrating more than that! The first attempt, with his knee ground into a metal grate, resulted in her being oblivious to him kneeling down (typical Trisha) before the sweetest southern family drove by, interrupting his chance. Thankfully, the next waterfall was a success, but only after he basically had to yell at her to turn around (she was squirreling again). Obviously, she said "YES!"
With the goal having been October, (most) Save the Dates were mailed out just before Christmas. With procrastination at its finest, one or two might have been empty envelopes. Sorry about that. Blame it on the stress. Or the dog.
It's the Final Countdown! Check on Tim--he may or may not be OK...
...and the best is yet to come...
