All we need is love

One summer night, after flirting online for a few months, Ali took the proverbial leap of faith and gave Will a call. "So, what are you doing?" turned into let's meet up, even though the first official date was scheduled only days away. A little reluctant, but also bored at home, Ali agreed to meet Will at North Third for an "icebreaker" drink. A Blue Moon, a Corona, and a bucket of fries later, the two parted ways looking forward to the real first date all smiles.

Our first date is quite a story, and one much funnier told in person. It is the story of the official first date at Penn's Landing Summer Night Jazz Festival Series, and of the infamous "download" drink situation in Will's Volvo, aka the Silver Sled. It also involves a parking ticket for Ali's Chevy Malibu, aka Purple Passion, which was unfortunately deserved! But for Ali and Will, it was the beginning a beautiful and lasting friendship.

Twelve years later, we fast forward to another ordinary day. It was winter time, and both Will and Ali were enjoying the holiday time. Both had plans with friends on a Saturday night, but both looking forward to the end of the day, where Will and Ali would meet back at Casa 701 to watch one of their favorite tv shows, When finally on the couch snuggled together, Will fumbled on the side of the couch reaching for something out of Ali's eyesight, then suddenly got down on one knee to propose! Overwhelmed, Ali asked, "Um, what are you doing?" to which Will replied, "I'm trying to marry you!" Ali said "Yes" that night after affirmations of love, and Will giving Ali a beautiful ring. They ended the evening enjoying the show, and making plans of being forever together.
