How We Met

10/23/2010

Our story began on a blind date back in 2010, after a mutual friend introduced us. Samantha one of my Best Friend had already planned for us to meet because she knew we would be good for each other. So on the night of October 23rd we met up, we talked, we laughed we went out and met up with our rest of our mutual friends and just had a great night! Cory was so sweet and pleasant to be around with, as for me I was really nervous to go on a blind date and meet Cory. I was shy through out the night but he made me feel comfortable. After couple of months of dating I knew it was the right time for him to meet my daughters, instantly I knew my girls would fall for his caring and lovable person he is. He told me the first night he met me “I know there is something different about you” “We have an instant connection that I never felt before”. After meeting my daughters he said “His love has only grown bigger and was blessed to meet us” and he knew that we were the ones he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. His unconditional love he offered to my daughters just made me fall in love more and more with him and that’s when we decided it was the right time to move in together as how my youngest daughter had grown very attached to him and wouldn’t let him leave the house, she will grasp on to his leg for him to stay ☺️ that is when I knew he was the one for me and my girls, & as for the rest is history ❤️ Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. Mark 10:9

The proposal

05/13/2018

I look back on our proposal and I still can’t believe it was real. The entire weekend was a total dream and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! Cory surprised me on Mother’s Day Weekend.... even though he’d been placing hints for some time, I just didn’t know when will he popped the question. We spend the weekend at Kemah boardwalk booked a room and on mothers day he tooked me, mother in law and my mother to Saltgrass Steakhouse to have lunch to celebrate Mother’s day. When we finished up we walked downstairs towards a small pond and he stopped me and said to me “You are the best thing that has ever happened to me we have been together for 8 years and you are the mother of my childrens I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Will you marry me? At that moment I was in shock, I lost it and all I could do was cry happy tears and remember just saying “Yes, Yes” and our children were in disbelief they couldn’t believe what their daddy was doing! They were so happy as their little eyes brighten! We were so nervous didn’t even realize he was putting the ring on the wrong hand lol. It was the best mothers day gift for me and for my mother and mother in law as they got to witness our proposal! Now here we are 9 years later getting ready to tie the knot! I am ready to marry my best friend and live an eternity with him, I can hardly wait to be Mrs. Gomez! 💗 I HAVE FOUND THE ONE WHOM MY SOUL LOVES 🙏🏻
