Once the judge confirmed a date, we only had two weeks to plan. Be at the plaza at 4:30, her clerk said, and bring witnesses. As the weather would have it, it was a hot day to wear wool, but we wore it, and after fourteen and a half years together we tied the knot on June 11, 2021. In the midst of a pandemic and with such short notice, we kept our little 15 minute ceremony to our immediate (vaccinated!) family and an intimate dinner. While we were planning on having a reception in 2022 and, after delaying it due to Covid, in 2023, we're now in a situation where, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have to cancel the reception, regrettably, rather than delay it even further. We're so happy that we were finally able to get married and are enjoying our husband and husband life. We wish we could celebrate with all of you and may still be able to sometime in the future.
