Mokorotlong Maseru Downtown
Most Tourist who visit Lesotho and engage in Maseru City Tour first visit this beautiful and cultural place. Basotho Pride themselves with this place and is well taken care of. One of the most monumental buildings in the country stands near central Maseru. Called the Mokorotlo, the site is a traditional hut redesigned in a more modern and sophisticated style. The revamped hut houses a museum where visitors can learn more about the nation’s history, culture and traditions. This house represents the popular Basotho hat inspired by Basotho's founder fortress called Thaba-Bosiu.
Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village
Located 24km outside of the city of Maseru, Thaba Bosiu is a National Monument and Lesotho's foremost tourist destination holding great historical significance as the birthplace of the Basotho People.
Likatola Horse Riding & Adventure
Horse-riding is their primary business! They also offer guidance in hiking to the top of Qeme plateau.
Maletsunyane Falls
Take in the breathtaking views of this gigantic and unique 200-metre drop that thunderously cascades down from the heights of the Thaba Putsoa Mountains. Feeling adventurous, get a closer view by hiking the falls or abseiling!
Kome Caves
The Kome Caves are a group of cave dwellings made out of mud in the district of Berea, Lesotho 25 km east of Teyateyaneng. The caves are still inhabited by the descendants of the original people who built the caves. The site has been classified as a National Heritage Site.
Katse Dam
The Katse dam, in the Lesotho Highlands, is one of the most spectacular water features in the country. Located on the Malibamatso River, this dam was completed in 1997 and is central to the Lesotho Highlands Water Project. The dam is second in size in Africa to Ghana’s Lake Volta and Akosombo Dam. The impressive dam wall is 185m high, 700m long and contains 92 000 cubic metres of concrete.
Maliba Lodge
Enjoy staying at the chalets in the breathtaking countryside. This area is special to us because we had our first proper 'baecation' here. Also special because this is the area where Mpho's dad grew up and her family still has strong ties to it.
