One evening, Zack was walking down a street when he saw smoke coming out of a building. When he looked up, he saw a beautiful woman (it was Jennifer). He told her to jump down with her dog, Rylan. Terrified, she took a leap of faith (literally!) and landed into the arms of Zack. At that moment, Nolan Ryan walked by and said, "nice catch, kid." The rest is history! Just kidding, we met on an online dating app! Zack first messaged Jennifer on a dating app on November 23rd of 2020. After talking for several days and really hitting it off, they agreed to meet up for a first date on December 2nd. They met at a cute coffee shop on the main street in downtown Round Rock. The area was covered in twinkling Christmas lights! They found a small table next to the huge Christmas tree. They talked for 5 hours, even though it was freezing! It was so much fun, but they had to eventually go home...it was a school night! After that date, the rest was history!

It was Jennifer's Spring Break. Jennifer and Zack had road tripped to Colorado with their dogs, Rylan and Bella. They had decided to plan the first few days of the trip, and then leave the second half of the week up in the air. Jennifer anticipated that Zack might propose to her during those first few days of the trip, but once they started "winging" the rest of their trip, she thought "surely he won't now--we weren't even sure if we'd be home or still in Colorado at this point!" Zack had other plans! After the DREAMIEST horseback ride in the lightly falling snow, Zack said he wanted to drive to a location to get a photograph. (Zack is a photographer, and this is a common thing he does when on road trips, so Jennifer didn't think anything of it.) Once arriving at THE SPOT, Zack asked Jennifer for help with getting the camera gear. It was cold and snowing, so she reluctantly agreed to get out of the truck. Jennifer noticed a woman on the side of the road. She was all alone and standing by her car in the snow. Worried the woman was needing help, Jennifer mentioned it to Zack-but he just brushed it off. Once Jennifer stepped out of the truck, Zack took her hand and led her away from the truck. Confused, because they didn't get any of the camera gear, Jennifer noticed the woman she thought was having car trouble started to walk towards them...and she had a big, fancy camera!! In the falling snow, surrounded by an incredible Colorado mountain backdrop, Zack began to tell Jennifer lots of sweet things and how much he loved her. He got down on one knee, asked her to marry him, and she said "YEAH!!"
