Guests may choose to either fly or drive to the Outer Banks.

The closest major airport is Norfolk International Airport (ORF) in Norfolk, Virginia. From the airport, guests can rent a car and enjoy a scenic drive to Hatteras Island. Depending on traffic and your final destination on the island, the drive is approximately 2.5ā3 hours.
š Driving
Guests are also welcome to drive directly to Hatteras Island. Travel times will vary depending on your starting location, but the drive offers beautiful coastal views as you make your way to the Outer Banks.
A vehicle is highly recommended during your stay, as restaurants, grocery stores, beaches, and attractions are spread throughout the island.
