FAQs

If you have any other questions beyond what is asked here, please contact the bride's home at 865-376-4815. The bride and groom's phone will be off the day of, so any last-minute questions should be fielded to the Maid of Honor and/or the Best Man.
Question

Will Masks/Vaccines be required?

Answer

Update as of 08/21 Yes. regardless of vaccination status. While inside the venue, you absolutely must wear a mask. I will not be taking exceptions at this time due to the presence of the elderly, young, and immunocompromised. Their health and safety are the most important to me, especially with the delta variant. I would also strongly recommend you vaccinate yourself if you are able, and please get the booster in light of the new variant.

Question

When was the RSVP due?

Answer

November 15th. If you have not already RSVPed, we assume you are not coming, and will not be counting you in our number to the caterer.

Question

What are the accommodations?

Answer

We are staying at the Moose Hollow Lodge, and if you will be staying you will receive an extra paper along with your invitation letting you know the details. These will be free of charge. Please note that the wedding party has taken up the third level to have space to get ready. If you would prefer more privacy or wish to make your own arrangements, Pigeon Forge has many lovely hotels and cabins available, but due to budget constraints we cannot block off spaces at this time.

Question

May I bring a plus one?

Answer

No. Due to limited space and budget, we will only be able to accommodate those whose names are directly on the invitation. This includes children unless explicitly invited on the invitation.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal, warm (layers would be good if you want to dance). It’s January in the mountains, and though we will be indoors, there will be a brief period of travel between the cabin and the chapel. We ask that you not be in majority-white or forest green to avoid matching with the bridal party. For the weekend outside the ceremony, check out these suggestions: https://traveltips.usatoday.com/vacation-packing-list-pigeon-forge-35357.html

Question

Can we take photos?

Answer

I ask that you don't take pictures during the ceremony, but you may take pictures during the reception so long as you are mindful of the photographer, my cousin: Kendra Bean. If you choose to share them online, please share with our hashtag, #Moyers22, so we can find them easily!

Question

What will be served at the Reception?

Answer

We will have a spaghetti bar with gluten-free options available, as well as a variety of red and white sauces. We will also have breadsticks and salad, and of course the wedding and groom’s cake.

Question

Will there be alcoholic beverages?

Answer

Yes, there will be wine as well as other beverages. Please use discretion, as children exist.

Question

Will children be allowed at the ceremony/reception?

Answer

They will be allowed, but during the reception, we will be showing a winter-themed children's movie in the 22-seat theater, and your children will be encouraged to attend due to the presence of alcoholic beverages. We are currently taking suggestions for the movie, but we ask that it not be a Disney movie such as Frozen or its sequels due to Disney's strict copyright policy.

Question

When can we enter the chapel?

Answer

Please wait to enter the chapel until 30 minutes before the ceremony. This will give everyone time to set up, and the bride and groom to have a private prayer time with the officiant before everything begins.

Question

Who is paying for the brunch at Mama’s Farmhouse?

Answer

Each person will be paying for themselves.
