We met while working at a pizza restaurant in Lyndonville, Vermont. What was supposed to be a summer fling, turned into four years of long distance while we attended college in different parts of the Northeast (New York City and Vermont). A few years later, we moved in together in New York, and a few years after that, we moved back to Chris's hometown in Glastonbury, CT. Bought a house, adopted two puppies, and.... You know the rest!
It was a beautiful September weekend. Actually, it was the 21st night of September. We headed to the Cape to spend time with my Dad and Grandfather. We took a quick trip to Nauset Beach before meeting up with family. We hiked down the beach and picked a spot to sit and enjoy the beautiful view. Cooper - our dog - was playing in the ocean for the first time that Fall. All of a sudden, Chris was down on one knee - and I said YES. A weekend full of family, good food, and tons of celebration followed.
In light of the pandemic, we decided to get married on our original wedding date - June 5, 2021. We had a small ceremony in front of our family and close friends. We are so looking forward to our bigger celebration where we will recognize our vows in front of ALL our friends and family and celebrate the way we always intended to.
