Dan and I met on Bumble over four years ago when it wasn't exorbitantly priced (seriously Bumble, c'mon). I had a picture dressed as Wednesday Addams and he had a selfie with his cat, Mowgli. Cut to a few days later and we're meeting for dinner at Anejo where we discovered that we'd both recently built Lego sets with our brothers. Queue a Lego Masters marathon, follow-up dinner at La Cucina, and then... A global pandemic?! FaceTime. Phone calls. Nature walks. We were forced to get creative and so we did. We discovered our mutual love of cats, music, and spending entirely too much on concert tickets. We talked about our friends and family, best and worst jobs, what makes the perfect taco, favorite albums, and travel. When the world started to return to normal we attended our first concert together, Punk in Drublic, and the fun hasn't stopped since. Dan has shared his vast knowledge of hip hop trivia, Marvel films, sports (especially mascots and uniforms), and love of Archer and Bob's Burgers with me. In return he has received my unrelenting enthusiasm for all things spooky (Michael Myers forever), literary trivia, arts & crafts, and the perfect skincare routine. Through Dan I've come to enjoy sports (or at least yelling at TD Garden), seen Wu-Tang Clan and Nas in Brooklyn, tried multiple craft beers, and have an in-depth knowledge of hip hop beefs throughout the years! Through me, Dan has attended his first ever "goth" shows (Ville Valo and Depeche Mode), learned the art of a perfect pretzel bite, watched more horror movies than he ever imagined, and toured a paranormal location! Yes, the Winchester Mystery House counts as a paranormal location. Together we've found our happily ever after and we can't wait to celebrate it with you!
