Rome Fiumicino Airport

You can arrive to Italy via whichever airport you desire, but Rome is the easiest to navigate to the venue as it is the most metropolitan. From Rome, Villamena is 200km (~2 hours) If you would prefer Florence or Piza, their airports are equidistant!

Train

Leonardo Express

Once you land in Rome there are a few options of travel. You are welcome to rent a car and drive to the venue, or take a bus, or train. By Train (Requires a Transfer): 1. Airport Train to Roma Termini: Take the Leonardo Express or a regional train from Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to Roma Termini, the main train station in Rome. 2. Roma Termini to Assisi: From Roma Termini, find a Trenitalia train (Regionale, Regionale Veloce, or Intercity) that goes to Assisi. You will have to change trains, as there is no direct train from Fiumicino to Assisi. 3. Arrive in Assisi: The train journey from Rome to Assisi typically takes about 2 to 2.5 hours.

If travelling by bus or train to Assisi Station, you will need to take a taxi to your final destination, Villamena. It is about a 16-20 minute taxi to Villamena.

If you arrive to Assisi Station with extra time prior to Villamena check in (4PM September 21st 2026), Assisi has a lot to explore!

We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with you! Accommodations will be provided for all our guests at Villamena for 3 nights — from September 21st-24th 2026. The villa estate will not only be your home during the stay, but also the stunning location for our wedding ceremony and celebrations. Now the real fun begins! The property includes a number of charming, unique apartments within a real medieval villa, as well as a panoramic pool, tennis court, soccer field, lush gardens, and more! We will have exclusive use of the villa and amenities. Sleeping arrangements will be thoughtfully organized in advance to ensure everyone is comfortable. Please let us know if you will (or will not) be joining us so we can and plan guest rooms accordingly. If you wish to stay in another location, we would be happy to give you recommendations nearby!
