How We Met (Sydney and Aaron's Story)

May 2018 - May 2019 (Middle & High School)

Sydney's Story "We actually met each other in middle school. Crazy right?! During that time, I couldn't stand Aaron and his name for one reason. When I met him in person, it was our 8th grade dance. He and I were very nonchalant with each other. We spoke to each other maybe once or twice, and that was it. Fun fact: I was in marching band, but then I quit. His best friend, Sibel, introduced me to him during band camp in the morning, but I already knew who he was and didn't feel like talking to anyone, especially in the morning. 9th grade came, and the next spring semester, Mrs. Revan's, which was world geography, is when I saw Aaron again. That time, in my head, I kept saying, "Damn, he's cute." Just how he dresses and presents himself makes him attractive. We had a group project, and that's how I got to know Aaron more. Throughout that semester, I've gotten to know him while he was knowing me. May 3rd, 2019 is the day Aaron asked me out in class, and of course I was happy and I said whatever. Now we're engaged and we're going to be married soon!" Aaron's Story "My first time meeting Sydney was in middle school at a dance; she was quiet, which was cool, and then I forgot about her after that dance. The next time I saw her, my best friend Sibel introduced us to each other, and then I forgot about her again until we had a class together, and I was like, "Why does that big ass head look familiar?". Then I knew who she was, and then a couple of months later, on May 3rd, 2019, I asked her out and we started dating. You can ask Sydney later on for more details about us, well, because I don't want to be bothered about it if you know what I mean!"

Funny Moments "Military Ball Disaster"

February 2019 (High School/JROTC)

Sydney's Story "Aaron and I were both in JROTC but in different classes. We had found out there was a Military Ball to go to in February. In class, we were talking about dates. Aaron had teased me because I was going out with a white boy from church and one of the girls from church who was in JROTC had a date from church too. *pause* He was going with a girl but sadly, I kind of messed that up for them....on purpose. Aaron had no date and was alone. The military ball had came so quickly, and I was excited but my date was terrible. People were shocked that my date was a white boy, like, for real. He was not my man. Then, sadly, while Aaron had girls twerking on him, my date didnt even want to dance with me and I was very emotional that night because I was sitting at the table by myself. He wandered off out of nowhere until Aaron came up to me and told me I should dance so I did dance with him and that was when people were saying we would be a cute couple. Nahh, I kept telling them that was my best friend. Of course, the girl that was with me who had a date with a guy from church was way better and he met Aaron and liked him. At the end, of course, I was attacked, basically them telling me I ditched my date and I was with Aaron the whole time, okay and? The guy was saying that Aaron likes you and I know you like him. I never liked him; okay, maybe I did. Sadly, I didn't go home till 12 in the morning because that white boy's momma, god rest her soul, was speeding through the military base and got arrested and of course i told Aaron."
