FAQs

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal: Suits, midi dresses, and gowns are perfect for our evening celebration. The event will be outside, so we suggest to wear shoes that will do well on grass. This means wider heels or flats, ladies! Gentlemen, think twice about those stilettos. Also keep in mind that October evenings in Virginia can get quite cool so it may be a good idea to bring a jacket or shawl. We are having an open-air ceremony, but the reception will be in a tent with heating (if it is necessary).

Question

Will the reception be at the same location as the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be at Crossvine Farm.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both will be outside! Wear proper shoes for outside, in the grass. There will be a dance floor. We will have umbrellas if it rains and there will be a larger tent for the reception. The tent will be heated if necessary but bring a jacket or shawl if you get cold easily, October in Virginia can be quite cool in the evenings.

Question

Can I pet the horses?

Answer

While this is a family-owed farm, it is also a professional business. You are more than welcome to walk the grounds but please refrain from touching or petting the horses.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There will be plenty of parking but if you can carpool, that is encouraged.

Question

Can I go inside the house?

Answer

Please refrain from entering the house on the property unless you have gotten permission to do so as it is a private residence. There will be heated bathroom trailers available for you to use when nature calls!

Question

Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

We, unfortunately, have to limit this guest list to those who will be playing a role in the ceremony. Everyone is invited to our Welcome Event taking place on the same day!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Question

When is the RVSP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before August 1st. This ensures that we have you and your meal choice accounted for. You can mail back the card enclosed in your invitation or simply RSVP right here on our wedding website. Whatever is easiest for you, works for us!
