Our Story
Cole and Kayla first met through mutual friends on a Saturday night in Corvallis during sophomore year. Kayla left her jean jacket at Cole’s friend’s house, and for months it floated around until it was returned, leaving Cole with the memory of the “Jean Jacket girl from Linfield.”
They didn’t cross paths again until summer 2022, when they interned at the same accounting firm. Cole reintroduced himself over pizza on day one, though Kayla didn’t remember that fall night. They quickly became friends, and Kayla even invited Cole onto her family’s boat, later revealed to be a “gray area” in boat rules.
As school began, Cole visited Linfield, went to Kayla’s volleyball games, and soon they were dating. They graduated, worked together, spent each day side by side, and grew even closer.
On July 17, 2025, after closing on their first home in Tualatin, Cole got on one knee and asked Kayla to marry him. Through happy tears, she said yes, beginning a life full of love, laughter, and memories.
