It took Weeks to become a Mosso

It all began in the summer of 2020 at their favorite place, Stanley Lake. After being not-so-subtly set up by their best friends (Matt and Nicole), they spent the remainder of the weekend at the Paolucci's camp getting to know each other. From playing card games and yard games, going for paddle boat and kayak rides, to sitting around a campfire eating hot dogs and 'smores... It was the perfect setting to start a friendship while taking in the beauty of Stanley Lake together. When the weekend finally had to come to an end, they said their goodbyes. Billy left first but he didn't make it very far before turning his car around and heading back to the camp. When he arrived he was asked by Uncle Al if he had forgotten something and he said, "Sort of"... He then proceeded to walk straight up to Nicole, pulled her into his arms and it was in that moment that they shared their first kiss. After that first weekend at Stanley Lake they then spent as much time together as they could while living 3 hours apart. They wasted no time introducing each other to their families, enjoying time out on the lake or at camp making memories. After spending some time apart, Nicole relocated to Waterford for work and they reconnected in the late Summer of 2021. Billy introduced Nicole to his hometown and friends, spending many evenings playing pool (or watching him play pool), attending game nights or Karaoke nights. Although they were both enjoying their time spent together as friends, it became clear that they were meant to be more than that. After a weekend of celebrating one of their friend's birthdays, Nicole could not keep it in any longer. After leaving his apartment to go back to hers, she decided to pull a page out of his book. She turned right back around, walked into his apartment and confessed her love for him. Knowing this day was coming, Billy only had to ask her one question. "You know if we do this, we're going to get married, right?" he asked, to which Nicole responded, "I do." 7 months later Billy and Nicole moved in together! Their nights out on Caroline street turned into nights spent at home cooking dinner together and watching a variety of shows or movies. They traveled to St. Thomas with a group of friends for an unforgettable vacation, made many trips down to Florida to see Billy's family and friends, frequently visited the Binghamton area to see Nicole's family and friends and also played an enormous amount of golf! Every year they enjoy spending the 4th of July weekend with their friends back at Stanley Lake, the special place where it all began. On July 1, 2023 however, another amazing memory would be created here. That morning, a rumor had been going around the camp that something was going to be happening later that day and everyone should keep an eye out. Billy also invited his Mom and Step-Dad to come out to the Paolucci's camp for the first time, which should have been some sort of clue as to what he was planning! Shortly after lunch while people were enjoying themselves playing yard games, Billy walked up to Nicole, who was in the midst of a conversation, and asked her if she wanted to be his partner for the next round of Tipsy Toss. Although her initial response was to say "Not right now", Billy then dropped down on one knee, pulled out an engagement ring and asked her again, "Will you be my partner for life?"! *Cue an eruption of cheering, happy tears and a ton of hugs! After getting engaged, they continue to travel, spend time with friends and play golf together as much as possible. They bought their first house together in the Fall of 2024 after searching for nearly 2 years! Their weekends since have been spent making their new house into something that they can call their home and of course planning this celebration with all of you! After an incredible few years dating and being engaged, they are very excited to begin their next adventure as husband and wife! The best is yet to come!
