What time should I arrive?

Answer

Prepare to arrive at 3:30 pm to give yourself an opportunity to park and walk to the Picnic Hill Ceremony Site. The wedding will start promptly at 4pm.

What is the dress attire?

Answer

The dress attire is formal/semi-formal fall colors (see photo above). Our ceremony will be on a grassy lawn, and the reception will be outdoors on a patio under the stars. Think layers, comfy shoes, and maybe a cute jacket to keep cozy.

Can I bring a Plus One?

Answer

Due to the intimate space, we are only able to extend invitations to those specifically named on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding.

Answer

We love your kids, but this celebration is for adults only. Think of it as a mini-vacation—dinner, dancing, and no bedtime duties!

Where should we stay?

Answer

The Bride and Groom will be staying at The Hilton Richmond Downtown (501 E Broad St, Richmond, VA 23219). We are so grateful to have family and chosen family commuting from across the country to celebrate our big day. With that in mind, please choose a Hotel or Airbnb that is fiscally appropriate for you.

Will there be transportation to/from the wedding venue?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided. Please plan to rent a car, use Uber/Lyft, or carpool.

How easy is it to uber/lyft?

Answer

In the city of Richmond, it is easier to get an uber or Lyft, however, we do suggest booking your ride early for the ceremony day.

Question

Is there a hotel room block for the wedding?

Answer

There is no hotel room block. Please plan to book a hotel or Airbnb close to the venue.

Question

I am renting a car. What should I know about venue parking?

Answer

Parking is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The venue parking lot will be locked at the conclusion of the reception (at 11 pm). Cars left in the lot past 11 pm will be available for removal starting at 10:00 am the following day. So, drink responsibly or coordinate to pick up the car in the morning :)
