Although Josh loves to tell everyone, they met in Church, in reality, that summer was the most magical both of them have had in a long time. For Monica, something in her heart told her she was ready to allow herself to love, but not just love anyone; she was determined to find the most special person out there, the one that had been hiding from her for years. Joshua was, however, a little disappointed with love but still hopeful of finding his perfect other half. Technology played an important role in this love story; due to their hectic schedules and busy and accelerated lifestyles, finding each other was not easy. (Bumble is a dating app, by the way) Swiping to the right this time led to great conversations and to encounter each other as soon as both could arrange the exciting meeting, where chemistry and sparkles were present since the first second. They couldn’t be apart from each other from that moment on. It was easy to fall in love with each other. Both found not a perfect match, but a best friend and a loving and caring companion. When you know, when something inside of you tells you that the person in front of you is the one you should spend the rest of your life with no matter what, there's no other option but to listen to your heart and follow it unapologetically.

It is not a secret that the family represents their most important pillar for both Monica and Josh. Every year Monica’s family tried their best to spend the holidays together. As their relationship started to get more serious, Monica started to spend more time with Josh’s Family. When they invited her to spend New Year's Eve with them, she felt happy because that could only mean that they had accepted her into the family. In turn, it would be the first time she would spend New Year's Eve apart from her family, and this concerned her. The day came, and Josh and Monica left for dinner at his older sister's residence, but she texted her Mother as much as possible to make her feel somehow, in her heart at least, she was still close by. Suddenly while playing Pictionary with the Guinn's, there was a quick knock on the door, and Monica’s Family walked in. Monica was shocked; she didn’t know how to react but felt instant relief because she now had everyone under the same roof. She found out just a few moments later what was really to unfold. With midnight approaching fast, everyone went outside to see the neighborhood fireworks. Josh, nervously waiting for the perfect moment, took Monica by the waist to garner her attention, and in proper fashion, took one knee, stared into her eyes, and let her know he was 100% sure she was the woman he wanted by his side for the rest of his life. That night Joshua asked Monica to be his wife. Having already known the answer since the first time, she was brave enough to say the words “I love you” without hesitation and without feeling scared; that night, they were now engaged.
