Friends and Family, and Jeff, Unfortunately, with growing case counts and our concern for your health and safety we are canceling our celebration. This comes with heavy hearts but moving through this we need to avoid unnecessary travel and exposure to keep our families and loved ones safe. We understand - and are right there with you - this is going to be a hassle canceling any reservations, reversing time off requests, and returning all your fun summer hats you bought for the occasion, but we truly appreciate your willingness to travel and celebrate with us and even more so being flexible in these trying times. Thank you for your love and appreciation. Please read our stories below, and enjoy the photos in our gallery. We will share them with you in person soon. We will celebrate soon, but for now please stay safe, wear a god damn mask, and wash your filthy hands.
It all began on a starry night in Southern Oregon when young Kenya and Marshall found themselves filled with emotions playing flashlight tag. An intimate opportunity arrouse whilst hiding under the stars at one of their best friend's house. They had a magical smooch, and frankly, weren't great at hiding. It wasn't until years later that they connected after high school and had the greatest summer of love together before college. Marshall moved to Portland and Kenya moved to Corvallis. Though, it wasn't too long until Kenya's charm and their love had initiated his pursuit to Oregon State. There, they both studied hard, worked harder, and made the best friends along the way (and a giant cat, whose named after one of their combined hobbies, Hops). Marshall had graduated to be a graphic designer, and Kenya a teacher. Ambition to be in a bigger city and love for the sea and mountains had led them to Seattle, Wa. They have spent the last few years being in love, finding new adventures, and winning the heart of their cat. They often found themselves in the mountains. There, Marshall had decided to ask the question.... Do you want to get Taco Bell? She obviously obliged. Later, on a different day, he asked her to be his wife. Kenya responded to the most anticipated question of their relationship with "SHUT UP!! YES!" They had spent that beautiful weekend celebrating in the sweetest A frame cabin close to their home mountain, Snoqualmie Pass.
In the upcoming months, they had dreamed of what they would like their wedding to look like: romantic, intimate, and without stress. They had spent lots of time researching venues, vendors, etc, when they had thought up a magical weekend in the mountains with just themselves and a best friend, one to officiate (Elena) and one to witness with his girlfriend (Justin and Taylor). They had a wonderful and enchanting weekend among the cascades and the cold November sunshine. They celebrated with love on the banks of Gold Creek Pond with the mountains as their backdrop and a home-made arbor to boot. They are thrilled with the experience and want to share their memories with their family and friends.
The #secretweddingcelebration is upon us! They have invited their closest friends and family to come together and celebrate, again with no stress and just love, in the wonderful town of Bend, Oregon. Bend is a gathering place, a central location between their two families, and their amazing and diverse friend group. They plan on celebrating with friends as "bachelor" and "bachelorette" on Friday, 08/07/20, then come together as a whole with family and friends to celebrate their marriage at Farewell Bend Park on 08/08/20. They invite you wholeheartedly to join as part of the family!
