Our wedding venue! Located by other breweries, an amazing bakery, and close to the water (so bring a jacket if you plan on hanging out outside!)
Another naval base turned brewery! Close to our wedding location, an IPA heavy beer menu, and amazing views of San Francisco! There’s always an event or food truck happening, and a spot we love to frequent. Those bay winds do get really cold, so wear a jacket if you plan on being outside
A distillery located in an old decommissioned naval base! You can buy bottles or attend the tasting flight and even have a tour! Located by our venue
Vintage pinball machines, play all day for one price, no quarters needed!
Pay by the hour for unlimited vintage arcade games
A man made beach with beautiful San Francisco views. Lots of shops nearby for easy food access, no stress picnic on the beach. Can be chilly with those bay winds!
A free shuttle across the bay, taking you directly to Oakland’s Jack London Square via Alameda
Lots of food, bars, and activities located against a beautiful ocean backdrop. Oakland tends to be a bit colder than Alameda, but very worth it! Noka Ramen is anime inspired and one of our favorite spots when we go! We love their veggie ramen, but everything they have looks and smells amazing! Yoshi’s Jazz Bar is where our parents met, with a beautiful restaurant and lots of shows to check. Hesher’s Pizza was always Robert’s pick, with beer on tap, great food, free to play boardgames, and a few pinball machines. Heinold’s First and Last Chance Saloon, was built by John M. Heinold in 1883. It’s an amazing old wooden structure, known for being a historic dive bar. The building itself is very small so theres not always a table inside, but the patio is nice and spacious with views of Jack London’s cabin.
Open since 1978, it’s been one of the most awarded and highly rated California wineries. Located near the Oakland Ferry Terminal, its one of the original urban wineries, with more than 50 California Zinfandels and Rhone-style wines.
Specializes in handcrafted, small batch winemaking with production based in Sonoma’s Alexander Valley. A newer urban winery with a tasting room, and bottles to bring home.
Jack London’s original cabin was built on the North Fork of Henderson Creek south of Dawson City, in the heart of the Klondike, prior to the gold rush on 1998. It was abandoned after the gold rush, and later discovered by trappers who found London’s signature on the wall. In 1965 the cabin was dismantled and two replicas were made from the original logs. One in Dawson City, and the second send to Oakland were its been re-assembled at Jack London Square! Sometimes you’re able to go inside, but you’re always able to look see it right on the waterfront.
Located just down the street from our Alameda home, it’s become one of our favorite after work date-night bars! With a large drink menu, you’re sure to find something you’d like while you enjoy the classic tiki theme. Very cute inside, and just as cute out, they do take reservations on the busier days, but usually you’re able to just walk right in, especially at night. Donald’s favorite is the not-always-available Planet of the Apes, but if they have the ingredients they’re happy to make you the alcoholic banana milkshake.
The home of Alameda’s live theater! Check to see what show they have, hopefully it’s something you’ll enjoy! Either way, its across the street from one of Alameda’s oldest parks
A three story thrift shop right on Park Street! Always something new to see, and plenty of spots to have fun getting lost in
A smaller thrift stop, but with very wonderful and kind volunteers, all money made here goes to help the Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter!
